I swear, I change my mind every five minutes. And I did it again. Here’s teh scoop:
I’m currently on a blogging hiatus due to my untimely capture by the Ice Penguins of the frozen north. Valiantly I fought against them, knowing that I had a responsibility to my readers and that hell…typeZERO’s been up for how long and already there’s a hiatus? But alas, my attempts to foil them ended with me getting flipper-slapped around like a fool then forced to dance to some avian interpretation of “gangsta music”.
I’ve managed to bribe the Flipper King (who, as it turns out is a rather nice fellow…forced to act like a badass even though he’d rather just chat over a barrel of fish) long enough to send you this message. In the spirit of urgency, I’ve thrown out the funny business to get you the real hard facts before I’m taken away again. I’m not sure how long I’ll be here, and if anyone can…come save me! I know, crazy right? In any event, Riex has left his personal assisstant, Xeir (that’s me!) in charge until he gets back. I’m not a great writer, but I can answer whatever questions you may have. I can also cook up a mean batch of chocolate chip oatmeal cookies.

There is no Xeir, there are no penguins (yet!), and my reasonings for hiatus are much less interesting than those above. You can stop giving me that look now. Geeze.
Here are the real, if less believable reasons for my hiatus:
- After about three months of being sober, I dived right back into my wowcrack addiction. The World of Warcraft and I have a love/hate relationship, but it manages to absorb my time anyway. Initially it was the addition of the latest patch (new shinies!) that grabbed me, but now it’s become the discovery of the one other class I actually enjoy leveling besides those I already have (I has a 70 warrior and druid…working on a rogue).
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as King released on Wiiware yesterday and it’s fscking addictive. More on that in a future post.
- I’m becoming disenchanted with many aspects of anime and the current season isn’t offering much in the way of comfort. More on that in a future post.
- I’ve really got to get some of my financial shit in order..and this requires time and effort on my part. The stress from that doesn’t compliment my writing style very well unless there’s a new Naruto episode out.
- I hate boxes. And I put myself in one despite all the high-saddle ramblings of the last post.
That said, I’ve got some post ideas (if you didn’t catch all the “future post” tags up there) that I should be rolling out within the next week. But typeZERO is going to undergo a few changes that you may or may not like. More on that in a future post. Stick with me, and I promise you’ll see a better Riex before it’s all said and done. This site will be the shit no matter how many kittens I have to punt through glass windows (make sure they bring their helmets KaeBoo!).
